Open Casting Call
'Broken Doll'

York Rising Stars, in conjunction with local funders are casting for the Educational Musical ‘Broken Doll’
to be staged Spring 2009.

The musical requires an all female cast and the following roles are available for open audition.

Sad Girl – Agerange 12-16.  Must have strong vocal ability
The Spirit – Age range 10-16. Must have strong dance ability (including ballet) and be able to mime
Ann – Age range 15-25. Good vocal ability.  Ann is very adult in her outlook, considerate and optimistic
Wendy – Age range 17-25. Good vocal ability. Wendy is strong willed with a no nonsense dry sense of   
                 humour. She is a biker enthusiast
Brenda – Age range 15-25. Good vocal ability Brenda has a warm and natural caring side
Junior Angel – Age range 10-15. This is a small role with some dialogue.

Audition Dates: 27th September and 4th October

Rehearsals will begin in November. Performances will be during March 2009 throughout York.
