JAMES WILSON
Actor

Hi there, I’m James.
I first became interested in drama at the age of 5 when I joined my local drama club in my home village of Copmanthorpe.
I took several main parts in plays at school and had my first stage debut at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre in 2006 when I appeared as one of the Kings children in The King and I with New Earswick Musical Society.
When our drama teacher in Copmanthorpe retired, Charlotte took over and invited some of our group to take part in a variety show with York Rising Stars.
I really enjoyed being involved with the group who were all very friendly and became a member two years ago
My first role was as the comic Billy in the panto Puss in Boots where I had a ‘friend’ Pansy that grew in each scene!!!!!!!!!!
I then took the part of Zepherus, the Magician in The Snow Queen and sang my first solo, which was rather scary.
I recently played the comic part of William, the alien boy in our pantomime 'Fairy Liquid'
I then played Tomjon in 'Wyrd Sisters' and I am taking the title role of 'Mort' at the moment.

IT'S GREAT FUN, SO WHY DON'T YOU JOIN US?
